Teaching Assistant – Contract (2 Weeks)

We are currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for immediate start contracts across Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, and the wider East our client area. Whether you’re looking for day-to-day supply work or long-term placements, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and work within a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN settings.

• Job Title: Teaching Assistant
• Contract Type: Contract (2 weeks)
• Location: Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, and surrounding East our client
• Pay Rate: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly (via PAYE)
• Start Date: Immediate start options available; long-term roles commence September 2026

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities within classroom and SEN settings
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources
• Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN
• Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies
• Assist teachers with student assessments and progress tracking
• Build meaningful relationships with students to support their academic and social development

Whether you’re covering day-to-day absenteeism or committing to a long-term placement, your flexibility and dedication will be crucial.

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced Teaching Assistants (qualified or unqualified)
• Graduates and aspiring teachers seeking classroom experience
• Career changers with transferable experience (e.g., youth work, sports coaching, childcare, healthcare)
• SEN support staff and Cover Supervisors

All candidates must have:

• The right to work in the UK
• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one on the Update Service)
• Two professional references from the last two years
