Contract Type: Temp to perm

Start Date: April 2026

Pay Rate: £150-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Qualification: QTS required

Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school

Overview

Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated History Teacher for a full-time position starting April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled History educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially History at KS5.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 History curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced.
• Plan, prepare, and assess History lessons in line with department policies
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
• Contribute to department improvement planning History
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching History experience in a UK secondary setting
• Is passionate about Business education and student achievement
• Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
