SEN Class Teacher

A specialist SEN school in Sunderland is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join their experienced team.

This provision supports pupils with a variety of complex needs including SEMH, Autism, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities. The school promotes a holistic and nurturing approach to education, placing pupil wellbeing at the centre of everything they do.

Key Duties

• Planning and delivering personalised learning experiences
• Supporting emotional and social development
• Managing behaviour positively and consistently
• Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom
• Supporting pupils with transitions and routines
• Working collaboratively with families and professionals

The successful applicant will

• Hold QTS or equivalent
• Have experience within SEN or specialist education
• Be nurturing, patient and resilient
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils

This is a rewarding opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent contract.

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
