Overview
Art Teacher & General Cover – Widnes. Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Widnes from September 2026. This is a full‑time teaching position for at least one term, combining Art teaching with general classroom cover where required. It is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and adaptable teacher who enjoys working across a variety of subjects while maintaining a specialism in Art.

The successful Art Teacher will primarily teach Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, alongside delivering pre‑planned lessons across other curriculum areas during periods of general cover.
Responsibilities
- Teach Art across KS3 and KS4, with flexibility to deliver planned lessons in other curriculum areas during periods of general cover.
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons and adapt as needed to meet the needs of the students.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with school staff to support an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school.
- Confident teaching Art at KS3 and KS4.
- Comfortable delivering pre‑planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects when required.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and adaptability.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

- Daily pay from £168.80 to £232.56, depending on experience and teacher pay scale
