Rate: £38 (umbrella Rate)

Responsibilities

• Supervision & Leadership — Provide supervision and practice advice to Case Workers and Senior Case Workers. Make professional decisions on complex cases and triage safeguarding referrals.
• Support & Advice — Manage referrals, resolve queries, escalate safeguarding concerns, and prepare clear reports.
• Relationship Management — Build positive relationships with service users, families, providers, and colleagues.
• Assessments — Conduct Section 9, 10, and 11 Care Act assessments, and mental capacity assessments. Participate in Section 117 Mental Health Act discharge CPA meetings. Autonomously manage a complex caseload, including urgent duty cases.
• Court Work — Prepare and present reports for court proceedings. Lead on Section 21A MCA challenges, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) cases, and liaise with Coroners as required.
• Safeguarding — Adhere to safeguarding policies and professional codes of conduct. Conduct and lead Section 42 enquiries, participate in multi-agency risk management meetings (MARMs), and support larger-scale safeguarding investigations.
• Continuous Improvement — Maintain up-to-date knowledge, attend training, engage in quality assurance, and uphold professional registration.
