Position: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (long-term role starting September 2026) at a structured SEMH school in Wanstead, Redbridge. This role involves supporting pupils who need clear boundaries, calm adults and consistent routines, and requires working with experienced staff to manage behaviour professionally.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs and additional learning needs
• Helping pupils stay regulated and engaged in learning
• Working with teachers, pastoral staff and behaviour leads
• Providing long-term, consistent support rather than short-term cover

Requirements / Qualifications

• A calm, firm and reliable personality
• Experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, PRU/AP or behaviour support
• Ability to de-escalate and avoid inflaming situations

Pay: £95 – £115 per day

Start date: September 2026
