We are working with a specialist SEN setting in Kingston upon Thames seeking an Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with autism and communication needs.

The role requires someone who understands autism beyond just having it written on a CV: patient, structured, and able to support pupils who may need visual routines, sensory support and calm communication.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with ASD and communication needs
• Helping pupils follow routines and access learning
• Using calm, consistent support strategies
• Working alongside experienced SEN staff and teachers

Requirements

• Experience with autism support, SEN, care, youth work or school support
• Patience and emotional consistency
• Understanding of routine, communication and regulation
• Reliable person who can build trust over time

Details

Pay: £95 – £115 per day

Location: Kingston upon Thames (KT1 1EU)
