Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic individuals for the post of Clinical Technologist within the Medical Physics Department, NHS Forth Valley.

The service is provided across NHS Forth Valley from the Medical Physics Department based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Responsibilities

The duties of the post include commissioning, installation, repair, and routine maintenance of a wide range of medical equipment used within Theatres, ITU, Emergency Department, Neonatal Unit, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and other clinical departments throughout the area.

Post holder will also undertake duties associated with the registered Quality Management System accredited to BSI ISO 9001:2015.

Post holder will use the asset management database for the management of equipment as part of their duties.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline. HND or HNC level qualifications will be considered if accompanied by relevant practical experience.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
