Overview

We are looking for an experienced Front of House Team Leader who can lead, motivate and support the wider team to deliver an exceptional guest experience at Slug and Lettuce. Work alongside the management team to bring our shared vision to life, help maintain smooth operations and consistency, and foster a warm and welcoming environment where guests feel valued.

The Slug & Lettuce is located in Bristol City Centre. This venue is suitable for a variety of occasions and offers morning coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner, plus our famous Bottomless Brunch offering. We boast a lively and friendly atmosphere with modern and stylish dining areas and birdcage booths. It is a great venue for a party or get together.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Front of House team to deliver an outstanding guest experience, ensuring high service standards and smooth daily operations.
  • Motivate, develop and manage team members, providing coaching and feedback to maintain performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the management team to execute the venue’s vision and standards consistently.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where guests feel valued and respected.
  • Support event and peak-time service planning, including reservations, seating, and flow management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 18 years or older due to the sale of alcohol.
  • Willingness to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and request reasonable adjustments during recruitment if needed.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by the venue.
