Overview
The Mechanical Manufacturing Technician is responsible for production, repair and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements. This role requires a versatile skill base and the ability to apply skills across a range of tasks. The technician will be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments used in the manufacturing cycle.
Responsibilities
- Carry out production, repair and modification activities to meet build standards and specifications.
- Apply a versatile skill base across a range of tasks and be proficient with equipment, tools and measuring instruments.
- Ensure manufacturing build, inspection, and inspection times are met where relevant.
- Check and complete all required manufacturing data requirements.
- Maintain high workmanship standards and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
- Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure and maintain product certification via regular audits.
- Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping practices.
- Communicate best practices to other team members.
Qualifications
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
- A team player with customer focus and proven planning and organisational skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach.
What we can offer
- Salary: £41,500 – £43,000 per year (depending on experience)
- Full-time, on-site work with occasional hybrid elements depending on workload
- Security Clearance requirements: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship; BPSS checks after offer stage
