PE Teacher Specification
We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a full-time role at a secondary school in the Birmingham area. This position is to start September 2026 and is a temporary contract.
To be considered, you must have prior experience delivering Physical Education lessons to secondary‑aged students (KS3 and KS4), with a proven ability to inspire young learners and promote physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.
- You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential, KS5 desirable)
- A passion for promoting sports, physical fitness, and teamwork
- Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging practical and theory PE lessons
- Knowledge of GCSE PE curriculum is advantageous
- Safeguarding Level 1 trained (we can assist with this)
- A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
