Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Behaviour Support)

Overview

Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (Behaviour Support) – Band F, scp 7-10. 37 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (term-time only, plus teacher training days). Fixed Term for one year (in the first instance) from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. Actual starting pay F:7 £22,608 per annum after pro rata. This role is to teach and support students in the school’s Focus Unit, who have been removed from the main school environment for short periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support students in the Focus Unit with behavioural needs.

Person specification / Qualifications

• Energetic, organised and proactive with a good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work with pupils with specific behavioural needs.
• Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ideal for a graduate seeking school experience before teacher training.
