Care at Home Assistant

Overview

Homecare Assistant – Join Nurse Plus as a Homecare Assistant and make a difference every day. This temporary position provides compassionate care directly in clients’ homes, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, complex care needs, mental health conditions, dementia, or assisting elderly clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, assist with nutritional needs, and offer companionship in clients’ homes according to individual care plans.
• Administer medications as directed and ensure safety and dignity at all times.
• Support clients to live independently and with dignity, enabling them to remain in their own homes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Over 18 years old and eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence is essential; travel expenses covered up to 45p per mile.
• Strong communication skills and a good standard of English.
• Enhanced DBS check (applied for upon registration).

All care is delivered in accordance with each client’s individual care plan, tailored to their needs. We sometimes arrange visits of varying lengths (short visits or longer shifts) to suit your lifestyle and our scheduling needs.

Salary: from £13.50 per hour (term applies depending on shift pattern).
