Would you like to join a charity recognised as a great place to work (Investors in People / Best Companies Awards)? This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting new journey, delivering a cutting‑edge criminal justice support programme.
In this role you will be based at HMP Peterborough and work with clients who are 6‑12 months pre‑release. Your focus will be on providing effective through‑the‑gate support and ensuring each individual has a clear, structured plan in place for release.
You will meet clients one‑to‑one, supporting them across key areas such as housing, resettlement, healthcare, education, wellbeing, life skills, and employment. You will deliver tailored 1:1 sessions and signpost to relevant services within the prison.
To apply, you should have experience working with individuals in the criminal justice system (e.g. prison or probation settings). Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in mental health, substance misuse, or homelessness is also welcome. Criminology graduates with relevant voluntary or paid experience supporting similar client groups are encouraged to apply.
You may have previously worked as a Prison Officer, Probation Officer, Resettlement Worker, Supported Housing Officer, Drug & Alcohol Worker, Careers Advisor, Employment Advisor, or Hostel Worker.
There are great benefits too, including 25 days’ annual leave (increasing with service), 2 paid volunteering days, an enhanced pension scheme, and life assurance.
