Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils with complex Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in Bristol. The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with complex ASC.
- Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support pupils’ communication, social development and independence.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to promote engagement and positive learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting learning to meet individual EHCP targets.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within a primary setting.
- Have experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition or other special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- Be patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
- Have strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
