Overview
You enjoy providing great service and working in a team? We have the opportunity at Thurrock Vets for Pets. This is a unique role working both as a CCA and a VCA over shifts. This is a part-time position averaging 15 hours per week, including late shifts 3:15pm–7:15pm on Mondays and Fridays as a CCA, and 2 consecutive weekends on Saturdays and Sundays as a VCA.
Responsibilities
Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets, acting as a link between clients and the clinical team. Build strong relationships with clients, their pets and the practice team. Greet clients, offer support, guidance and expertise, manage payments and future bookings confidently. Coordinate day-to-day routines using our online booking system; computer literacy is essential. Other tasks include keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and organised; feeding and monitoring in-patients; running clinical tests; managing stock; handling a variety of small animals; helping set up for operations and deep cleaning all areas.

- You can guide by staying up-to-speed with practice services and any additional services available.
- You are calm, attentive and always focus on the clients’ needs.
- You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service matches your love of pets.
- You can handle everything thrown at you, from comforting a client with bad news to sharing in the joy of a puppy’s first visit to the vet.
- Your personality is infectious and, with your colleagues, you create a welcoming atmosphere.
- We are looking for someone who would like to build their career in customer care within the veterinary industry.
- Previous experience in patient care or customer care background would be preferred but not essential.
