Shape the future of consumer outcomes in a changing data and financial services landscape
A newly established, high-profile industry body is seeking an experienced Senior Consumer Policy Analyst to play a leading role in shaping policy, standards, and consumer outcomes across a critical area of the UK financial ecosystem. This is a rare opportunity to influence meaningful change at a national level while working at the intersection of consumer policy, data, regulation, and innovation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and an independent Consumer Council, you will be the voice of the consumer within the organisation, ensuring that policy proposals, reforms, and industry initiatives are assessed through a robust consumer lens.
This role offers the chance to:
- Lead consumer policy analysis on significant market reforms and industry initiatives.
- Assess the impact of policy proposals on consumers, including vulnerable and financially excluded groups.
- Influence decision-making through high-quality, evidence-based recommendations.
- Engage with regulators, consumer bodies, and other key external stakeholders.
- Commission and oversee consumer research projects.
- Contribute to cost-benefit assessments and policy development activities.
- Help ensure that consumer interests remain at the heart of market evolution and regulatory thinking
We are interested in speaking with individuals who bring:
- Strong experience in consumer policy, public policy, regulation, market analysis, or related disciplines.
- A proven ability to analyse complex policy issues and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Understanding of consumer protection, regulatory frameworks, and public interest considerations.
- Excellent written communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
- An evidence-led mindset combined with sound commercial awareness.
- Experience within financial services, regulation, public sector organisations, consumer advocacy groups, or other complex policy environments.
