Job Description:

PMO Manager

London | Hybrid | Permanent | £80,000 to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We’re partnering with a fantastic group of people in a global engineering and project services business that’s growing rapidly across Europe and beyond.

This is a newly created PMO Manager / Chief of Staff role with genuine scope, autonomy and visibility. Reporting to the Group CFO, you’ll play a key role in building the Group PMO capability, bringing structure, governance and accountability to major business initiatives across multiple countries.

If you enjoy working in fast-paced, international businesses where no two days are the same, this is a brilliant opportunity to make your mark.

The Role

This is far more than project coordination. You’ll help build and shape the PMO function, supporting strategic projects across operations, finance, systems, technology and business transformation.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building PMO frameworks, governance and reporting across the Group.
  • Managing the global portfolio of strategic projects and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Producing clear reporting, dashboards and insights for the Executive Team and Board.
  • Tracking milestones, risks, budgets, dependencies and project performance.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple countries to drive accountability and delivery.
  • Continuously improving PMO processes, reporting and project governance.
  • Supporting business transformation, operational improvement and strategic initiatives across the Group.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, organised and commercially minded PMO leader who enjoys bringing structure to busy, fast-paced environments.

You’ll be someone who can lead, influence and build relationships across the business. You’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders, challenging where needed and keeping projects moving.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience building or developing a PMO within a global or multi-site business.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure or another project-led environment.
  • Strong programme governance, reporting and organisational skills.
  • The confidence to lead, shape and organise multiple workstreams across different countries.
  • A hands-on approach with the autonomy to get things done without needing constant direction.
  • Private Equity experience would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.

Why Join?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful global engineering business with ambitious growth plans. You’ll work with an outstanding leadership team, have genuine influence across the organisation and play a key role in building a PMO capability that will support the next phase of growth.
