The Master and Reference Data Strategy Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities to operationalise the governance framework and supporting processes to effectively govern Reference and Master Data with the Data Governance team. The overall objective is to support the creation, maintenance and adoption of a unified and consistently defined fit-for-purpose enterprise-wide Master and Reference Data domains. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.What you’ll do

Lead a team of people. Oversees management of people, budget, and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action/terminations and may include budget approvalManage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the day-to-day execution activities and meetingsImplement relevant processes to govern domain level and data lifecycle capabilities to ensure all relevant governance forums and working groups are functioning efficientlyCreate front-to-back business requirements by leveraging deep understanding of MRD business process flow and proceduresEnsure frequent, reliable, and relevant communication and documentation to a varied group of stakeholdersDefine and implement Master and Reference data governance and operations processes, framework componentsSupport adoption of standards and capabilities so that they are consistent, enterprise-widePartner with functions and businesses to ensure governance objectives, framework and processes are understood and aligned, and meet the needs and regulatory requirementsGuide team or project leads to effectively support key stakeholders on the adoption of the Master and Reference Data Governance frameworksReview governance metrics, including Master and Reference data governance adoption and maturity data/metricsEnsure alignment to the Enterprise Data Governance policy and standards to meet its specific requirementsEnsure Enterprise Reference Data processes and tooling are adopted in a manner that creates value for businesses to adoptIdentify gaps in current data domain and lifecycle governance and management processesPrepares executive/management level reporting and other regulator-required updatesWhat we’ll need from you

Relevant experience, Banking or Finance industry preferredDemonstrated Data Analyst and process engineering skillset in Master and Reference data domains in financial / banking industryStrong understanding of various project management methodologies and toolsAbility to monitor tight deadlines and / or unexpected requirement changesEffective collaborator, by being able to build relationship and partnership with others to meet shared objectivesCommunicates effectively and in a way that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiencesExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsHigh degree of initiative and personal accountability, self-starter and highly motivatedStrong analytic and problem-solving skillsProficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Education
