The role offers strong client contact, business development opportunities, and genuine scope to help shape the future growth of the department.nnKey Responsibilities of the Employment Solicitor:

nn • Advising on a broad range of respondent-based employment mattersnn • Supporting on corporate and transactional employment worknn • Handling wrongful and unfair dismissal, redundancy and restructuring mattersnn • Advising on restrictive covenants and day-to-day employment issuesnn • Processing instructions in accordance with firm procedures, quality standards and risk management processesnn • Assisting with marketing and maintaining relationships with referrers and clientsnn • Working in a cross-disciplinary way with other departments and promoting cross-referralsnn • Introducing new clients to the firm and attending networking opportunitiesnn • Supporting financial controls in conjunction with the Head of Departmentnn • Playing an active role within the team and supporting colleagues during busy periodsnn • Supervising direct reports such as Legal Assistants where requirednn • Participating in knowledge sharing, training and wider firm initiativesnnRequirements of the Employment Solicitor:

nn • Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ PQE in Employment Lawnn • Strong technical knowledge of employment law with private practice experience ideally preferrednn • Significant experience of respondent-based employment mattersnn • Immigration experience beneficial but not essentialnn • Ability to work with minimum supervision and some supervisory experiencenn • Excellent client care and communication skillsnn • Good team player with a collegiate and collaborative approachnn • Adaptable and flexible in the nature and delivery of worknn • Strong commercial acumen and appreciation of financial fundamentalsnn • Genuine enthusiasm for networking, business development and helping grow the departmentnnThe Benefits for the Employment Solicitor role:
