Job Description
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal Temporary Works Engineer to join a leading specialist engineering business, delivering innovative structural and geotechnical temporary works solutions across major infrastructure and construction projects throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce safe, practical and compliant temporary works designs.
- Design structural and geotechnical temporary works solutions for a variety of construction projects.
- Checking of temporary works solutions.
- Provision of technical advice to clients, sales teams and project stakeholders.
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation, industry standards and best practice.
- Support and mentor Graduate and Design Engineers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Work collaboratively to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or working towards IEng is desirable.
- Minimum three years’ experience in temporary works design at Senior level or five years at Principal level.
- Strong understanding of structural and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit and temporary works design software.
- Ability to produce clear engineering calculations and drawings.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
