• Ownership of UK and European VAT compliance

n

• Review and submission of VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions

n

• Act as the key VAT advisor to finance and operational teams

n

• Support cross-border transactions and movement of goods across Europe

n

• Manage relationships with external advisers and tax authorities

n

• Lead VAT audits and resolve technical VAT queries

n

• Identify and implement process, systems and control improvements

What you'll need to succeed n To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified tax or accounting professional (CTA, ACA or equivalent) with strong indirect tax experience gained within industry or practice. n You will possess:

• Strong UK VAT knowledge, with European VAT experience highly desirable

n

• Experience dealing with cross-border transactions

n

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

n

• Experience managing VAT audits and working with external advisers

n

• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with financial systems and large data sets
