About Your Team
The Customer Growth and Retention Marketing Team is part of Fidelity’s Global Platform Solutions (GPS). The team develops and deploys strategies to accelerate revenue generated from prospects, investors, and members, aiming to make FIL the customers’ preferred pension and investment platform.
About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in growing customer engagement, service utilisation, and brand loyalty to support our core goal of becoming the customers’ pension and investment platform of choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive engagement strategies aimed at increasing digital engagement and good customer behaviours (money‑on, transfers, consolidation, regular savings, and brokerage).
- Develop the annual engagement marketing plan and forecast, collaborating with Cross‑sell, Retention, Site Engagement, and Product Marketeers.
- Lead the execution of engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and customer needs.
- Execute all engagement campaign activities, including landing pages, templates, guides, client toolkits, and banners.
- Optimise journeys and content across all engagement touchpoints using data‑driven insights.
- Review and refine the permissions strategy to support paid media targeting through first‑ and third‑party data.
- Onboard new WI (UK & IRSP) schemes in a timely and efficient manner, supporting business expansion and value per member.
- Drive early engagement for the first 12 months by welcoming new customers, establishing good behaviours, and reducing call‑volume through clear communication.
- Drive ongoing engagement by building satisfaction through standalone and prioritized trigger programs, continuously delivering educational insights.
- Conduct thorough analysis of engagement program performance (upstream and downstream), presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Prepare and present regular reports on key metrics, highlighting growth and areas for improvement.
- Lead a high‑performing team of five, including three direct reports, across multiple locations.
- Coach and develop team members, fostering collaboration and empowerment while ensuring effective execution of engagement marketing goals.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing business‑as‑usual with change management and optimisation of engagement programmes.
- Adapt strategies and initiatives in response to changing market conditions and business needs.

- Customer marketing (segmentation, targeting, UX design): execute communications across channels to drive early engagement and money‑on across products.

- Performance analysis and data‑driven decision making: interpret customer data, identify opportunities, analyze results, and optimise strategies for maximum ROI.
- People leadership and development: inspire, coach, and develop a high‑performing team while ensuring alignment with engagement marketing goals.
- Communication skills: present compelling stories with well‑constructed recommendations to senior leadership and external audiences, including B2B and trustee relationships.
- Project management: manage budgets and deadlines, driving multiple initiatives to meet objectives while managing change and optimisation.
- Adaptability: proactive growth mindset with the ability to adjust strategies in response to market changes.
