Job Summary
Recruit Band 3 Vaccinator for the Aberdeen City vaccination programme for a fixed term until end December 2026. The role will be based in vaccination centres, community clinics and schools, and successful individuals may also be required to support other areas of the service.
Responsibilities
- Administer vaccinations safely and effectively in line with national policies.
- Record and manage immunisation data accurately.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care, upholding infection control and hygiene protocols.
- Work autonomously while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Assist in other duties as required by service delivery.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Completed phlebotomy competencies.
- Will complete the Associate Vaccinator competencies within the first month of employment.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, friendly demeanor, and ability to handle diverse age groups and occasionally stressful situations.
- Ideally completed the PEIP for HCSW vaccinators course.
- Willingness to undertake further training for the administration of new vaccines as the programme evolves.
Working Hours
Preferred full‑time 36 hours. Part‑time working patterns will be considered if a minimum of two days per week can be provided. Some days may be over six working days.
