Autism Support Assistant – Kettering

About the role:

Justteachers is recruiting an Autism Support Assistant for a specialist school near Kettering. This full-time role starts ASAP and runs until July 2027. The role involves supporting pupils with autism spectrum conditions through structured learning and sensory-based activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with autism
• Assist with sensory regulation and communication strategies
• Work alongside teachers and therapists to meet pupil targets
• Encourage social interaction and independence
• Maintain a calm and structured classroom environment

Pre-requisites

• Experience supporting individuals with autism preferred
• Calm, nurturing, and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two references within the last two years from a related field
