About the role: Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Support Staff member to join a supportive SEN school in Rugby. The successful candidate will work closely with a KS3 student with complex behavioural needs, helping them remain engaged in learning and supporting their personal development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in a specialist setting, with the role beginning after May half term 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1 support to a KS3 learner with SEN and behavioural needs
• Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Support classroom teachers with differentiated learning activities
• Use effective communication and behaviour intervention techniques
• Promote independence, confidence, and social interaction

Qualifications

• A minimum 2:1 degree qualification
• Experience working with SEN students or challenging behaviour preferred
• Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Flexible and proactive attitude
• Genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
