Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a rotational Band 5 Occupational Therapist within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The full‑time post offers the chance to develop skills across the acute inpatient setting within a friendly and supportive Therapy Service (Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy), part of a wider Rehabilitation Service that includes Dietetics and Speech & Language Therapy. You will be encouraged and supported to develop clinical and teaching skills and to be actively involved in service development, with preceptorship, action‑learning sets, clinical and managerial supervision and performance appraisals. Cross‑site working is a MUST for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for continuing to develop as an occupational therapist, both clinically and professionally.
  • Contribute to the management of patients and the overall development of the team whilst working in all rotational clinical areas/specialities as a Band 5 occupational therapist.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team whilst carrying out rotational placements.
  • Participate in cross‑site working and in-person interviews to assess relevant skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy HCPC Registered.
  • Ability to manage own time and pressure, including clinical caseload.
  • Ability to demonstrate personal and clinical effectiveness to achieve optimum patient care.
  • Strong belief in CPD and reflective practice.
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently.
  • Ability to present information in a logical, concise manner.
