Main duties of the job
The post holder will achieve this by assisting the Integrated Universal and Early Intervention Teams in the delivery of their clinical duties through provision of clinical support to ensure that systems are in place and maintained to enable smooth processes for service delivery. This will involve carrying out health reviews, dealing with general queries from the public, either face to face or over the phone.The 0-19 Community Nursery Nurse will support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within a progressive universal model of service delivery dependant on assessed needs. Ensuring the programme is delivered in partnership with other statutory and non-statutory agencies. This role will play a key part in the development and safe delivery of 0-19 services, utilising best available evidence to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people especially those from disadvantaged groups.The Community Nursery Nurse will work co-operatively as a member of the 0-19 team, under the supervision and instruction of the 0-19 Practitioner, to assist with clinical support to the Team in promoting the health and wellbeing of families and children under the age of 0-19 years of age.The post-holder will assist the Team to provide support and advice to children, carers and parents to improve health and inclusion, and to tackle inequality of health care taking into consideration levels of deprivation and ethnic diversity within the caseload locality

Job responsibilities
Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes, Essex.
Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement – Fringe (Basildon, Thurrock, Brentwood, Harlow and Dartford only) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,303 to a maximum of £2,198 p.a. pro rata for part time)
