Job Description:

We are looking to recruit Band 3 Vaccinator roles across the Aberdeen City vaccination program for a fixed‑term period until the end of December 2026. These roles will work in vaccination centres, outlying community clinics and schools, and successful individuals may also be required to assist in other areas.

Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccinations and perform phlebotomy duties, completing the Associate Vaccinator competencies within the first month of the start date.
  • Maintain a high standard of care, carrying out the immunisation programme safely, effectively and in accordance with national policies.
  • Demonstrate excellent time‑management, work well in a team while also being able to take initiative independently.
  • Use an open, friendly manner and strong communication skills when dealing with a diverse range of people of all age groups, including managing stressful situations.
  • Assist in other vaccination‑related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Completed relevant competencies for phlebotomy.
  • Associate Vaccinator competencies completed within one month of start.
  • Ideally completed the PEIP for HCSW Vaccinators course, with a willingness to undertake further training on the administration of different vaccines across all ages.

Work Hours

Preferably full‑time (36 hours per week); part‑time (minimum 2 days) will be considered. Working days may extend to more than six days per week.
