Maternity Care Assistant
The closing date is 17 July 2026
We are looking for caring, motivated and enthusiastic Maternity Care Assistants to join our maternity teams across Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital sites.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support women, birthing people and their families across a range of inpatient maternity areas, delivering compassionate, high‑quality care as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team. You will assist with patients’ physical and personal care needs, ensuring dignity, privacy and individual cultural needs are respected at all times.
Working under the supervision of a registered midwife or nurse, you will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of maternity services while following agreed policies and procedures. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within a supportive and fast‑paced maternity environment.
Our maternity services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility to work a variety of shifts is essential. You will need to be able to work independently when carrying out delegated tasks, while communicating effectively with colleagues and maintaining excellent standards of patient care.
If you have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, a compassionate approach and a passion for supporting families during an important stage of their lives, we would love to hear from you.
