Job Description:

Overview

We are recruiting a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to work within the Adult Learning Disability Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) and Dietetic teams in NHS Forth Valley.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support adults with a learning disability to improve their health outcomes across community and inpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health and social care colleagues, third‑sector providers and families.
  • Provide professional support, receive clinical supervision, and participate in training and development from experienced staff.
  • Travel throughout the area of service delivery to meet primary goals and partnership requirements.
  • Participate in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Additional Information

  • The post will be considered a training position under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change terms & conditions.
  • As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, but the hourly rate will increase accordingly.
  • Applicants who require a Certificate of Sponsorship should review eligibility criteria for the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.
