About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering a variety of shift patterns. Flexible working is available but weekend working is a requirement. You will greet customers in our in‑store pharmacies, confidently discuss personal health issues, resolve customer problems, and refer customers to the right products. You will spend time accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, drive awareness of additional pharmacy services (Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews, etc.), and support the pharmacist with patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop‑smoking schemes. You will learn and follow strict Standard Operating Procedures. You will also collect customers’ prescriptions from their doctors’ surgeries and deliver them to the store ready for collection. Within six months you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant, then train as a Dispensing Assistant, furthering your pharmacy career.
About You
You are naturally friendly, highly organised and eager to work with a team to deliver great results. You have good computer skills, strong attention to detail and communicate well with customers. You love problem solving, are passionate about helping people and care about providing a positive healthcare experience for each customer.
