Education required
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Chemical Engineering
Other requirements
Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship
Language requirement
Written and spoken fluency in English

January to June 2027

Responsibilities
- Technical application of fundamental engineering skills in the design of process equipment
- Scoping equipment specifications and working with vendors to obtain best in class design for value
- Going to site, observing plant operations and implementing engineering modifications to plant
- Commissioning of equipment with engineers and plant technicians
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and safety
Learning objectives
- Understanding of equipment capability: You will learn to differentiate various equipment/instruments, understand their specifications and how they are used for processes via the assigned projects
- Understanding of Management of Change process via the Plant Modification Proposal: You will be involved in designing, executing and commissioning of modifications in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment
- Process scales up understanding: Participation in batch record review & plant processing to gain hands on understanding of safety/quality aspect of introducing a process into a plant
Qualifications
- Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and keen to apply engineering fundamentals in a GMP environment
- Interest with going to manufacturing site, observing plant operations and implement engineering modifications to plant
- Good analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross functional teams, vendors and technicians
- Hands‑on and willing to work on site to support engineering and plant activities
