Multi Skilled Engineering Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for proactive Multi Skilled Engineering Technicians to join our client’s engineering team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment following recent investment and upgrades. Staffline is recruiting Multi Skilled Engineering Technicians in Market Drayton.

The rate of pay is £57,289 per annum, plus a £5,000 signing‑on bonus once you have passed probation. Overtime is available and is paid at time and a half. This is a full‑time permanent role working rotating shifts.

Working Hours

7:00 am – 7:00 pm

7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose faults efficiently and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support production by maintaining machinery, utilities and site services to required performance and safety standards.
• Complete maintenance records accurately and update job information in the maintenance system.
• Assist with installations, modifications, commissioning and improvement projects.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Support contractor management and keep work areas safe, organised and compliant.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a multi‑skilled fast‑paced engineering or maintenance role within manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
• Apprentice training with proven experience of working on fast‑moving machinery, pumps, valves and PLCs.
• Strong fault‑finding and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Good knowledge in filling and process technology and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Team‑building skills and strong ability to work cross‑functionally.
