Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Microbiology Administrative Support within our Microbiology Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours

22.5 hours per week.

What You Will Do

The post holder will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative support to the Microbiology Management Team, Consultant Team and other members of the department. Responsibilities include dealing with telephone and face-to-face enquiries from all staff groups, directing and prioritising queries, compiling letters, minute-taking, summarising data, entering data into Microbiology systems, quality audit support, filing and responding to a wide range of communications.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

The post holder should be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, educated to SVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent experience based knowledge. Additional qualifications and experience relevant to microbiology and administrative support are desirable.
