Description
- Review, draft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, reliance and release letters, legal opinions and other standard transactional documentation.
- Provide practical and commercially focused legal support to front-office and business stakeholders.
- Identify, assess and elevate legal, regulatory and reputational risks where appropriate.
- Ensure documentation and processes comply with internal governance requirements and applicable regulations.
- Support asset finance, corporate lending and broader structured finance activities across the EMEA region.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute to the successful execution of transactions.
- Assist with legal know-how, process improvement initiatives and the adoption of technology and AI tools within the legal function.
- Support a range of legal, transactional and operational matters as required by the wider legal team.
Profile
- Law degree, legal conversion qualification or equivalent legal qualification gained in any jurisdiction.
- At least two years’ legal or paralegal experience, ideally within banking, finance or corporate transactions.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating transactional documentation, including NDAs, legal opinions and related agreements.
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using legal technology and AI tools.
- Previous in-house experience would be advantageous but is not essential
