Learning Support Assistant – September Start
Academics are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to join a Special School and Alternative Provision in Portsmouth which caters for young people across yr3-KS4 with a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) developmental needs and/or medical needs.
We are looking for strong yet empathetic Learning Support Assistants who are available to start in September on full‑time, on‑going contracts. There is the opportunity for a permanent contract if this is of interest. This position is suitable for someone who lives in the Portsmouth area.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Provide support in an SEN/SEMH environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviours in an SEN/SEMH school (not essential).
- Availability to work full‑time in Portsmouth from September.
