Overview

Job Title: Mobile Plant Operative

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour (Overtime paid at time and a half)Shift Pattern: 24/7 rotating shifts

• Day Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm
• Night Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am
• Rotation: 4 days on, 2 days off, 4 nights on, 6 days off
• Additional cover shifts available and paid at time and a half

Responsibilities

• Operating mobile plant safely and efficiently around the site
• Sorting recyclable materials from conveyor belts into the correct waste streams
• Removing contamination and non-recyclable materials to improve recycling quality
• Assisting with the processing and segregation of waste and recyclable products
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work area throughout your shift
• Following all health, safety, environmental, and site procedures at all times
• Reporting hazards, equipment faults, unsafe conditions, or incidents to your supervisor
• Assisting with loading, unloading, and moving materials around the site
• Working efficiently to meet production and recycling targets
• Wearing and maintaining all issued PPE correctly

Requirements

• A minimum of one valid mobile plant licence is essential (Loading Shovel, 360 Excavator, Telehandler)
• Previous experience operating mobile plant is preferred
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
