BSL Learning Support Assistant – Gateshead

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with British Sign Language experience who enjoys supporting learners to overcome barriers and achieve success.
Your responsibilities:
- Support learners who communicate using BSL
- Adapt communication to meet individual needs
- Encourage participation within the classroom
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Travel between multiple specialist provisions across Gateshead
Requirements:
- BSL qualification or practical experience
- Positive, patient and resilient approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
