Role Overview

We are seeking applications to join our Learning Support team – Reading Intervention – to play a vital role in enhancing students’ reading fluency within our Academy. This position requires strong coordination skills, a passion for supporting student development, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support reading interventions for students.
  • Deliver effective 1:1 and small‑group interventions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant experience in coordinating reading interventions or similar educational programs.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young people, preferably within an education setting.
  • A minimum Level2 qualification (grade4 or above) in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs or social, emotional and mental health issues is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Eligible for apprenticeship with study towards a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
