Global VM Graphic Design Assistant Manager

This role leads the creative development and global implementation of visual merchandising graphic assets across all retail environments. It involves close collaboration with the Global VM Lead Graphic Designer, Head of Operations, and cross‑functional teams to ensure brand consistency and meet commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts for campaign executions while managing the creation, maintenance and rollout of permanent plate planograms, campaign artwork and global graphic updates, ensuring consistency across all markets.
  • Combine creative artwork, graphic design, project management and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver best‑in‑class VM assets that reflect brand standards and commercial objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between Creative, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory and Global VM teams, ensuring all artwork is accurate, compliant, print‑ready and delivered on schedule for global execution.
  • Maintain the integrity of Global VM graphic assets, managing version control and supporting the continual evolution of permanent plate libraries and campaign guidelines.
  • Support the Global VM Lead Graphic Designer in delivering high‑quality visual merchandising graphic assets across permanent and campaign executions.
  • Partner with the Global VM Lead Graphic Designer and Head of Operations to manage the global permanent plate programme, including implementation, maintenance, planogram creation and ongoing updates across all markets.
  • Develop original graphic concepts and creative design solutions for global VM campaigns, translating campaign briefs into engaging retail graphics that align with brand identity.
  • Originate campaign artwork from concept through to final execution, balancing creative innovation with commercial objectives, production requirements and global scalability.
  • Own the artwork production process for permanent plate graphics, ensuring all files are accurate, print‑ready and aligned with global brand standards.
  • Create, maintain and update permanent plate planograms, ensuring consistency across all retail environments and supporting regional implementation.
  • Project‑manage global graphic artwork updates from briefing through to final delivery, coordinating timelines with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Create original graphic concepts, develop creative assets and produce print‑ready artwork for stores, counters, pop‑ups and retail environments globally.
  • Ensure all artwork adheres to brand guidelines, print specifications and production best practices.
  • Manage version control and asset organisation for all Global VM graphic files, ensuring teams are working from the latest approved artwork.
  • Create, maintain and continuously develop the Global VM image, artwork and copy libraries.
  • Collate and manage approved copy from Marketing and Copy teams, ensuring all Global VM assets remain aligned with current brand messaging.
  • Work closely with Legal and Regulatory teams to ensure all graphics and copy are compliant and market‑ready before release.
  • Collaborate with Global VM Managers to develop campaign guidelines and supporting visual assets for global launches.
  • Liaise with Creative Agency, Global Marketing, NPD, Print Suppliers and cross‑functional partners to deliver efficient and effective design solutions.
  • Monitor project timelines, print deadlines and launch schedules, proactively managing priorities to ensure successful global roll‑outs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve artwork processes, file management and workflow efficiencies across the Global VM function.
  • Contribute creative thinking, graphic concept development and innovative design solutions that enhance the customer experience while maintaining brand consistency.

Qualifications

  • BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related creative discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, artwork or visual merchandising design within a luxury, beauty, fashion or premium retail environment.
  • Proven ability to originate creative concepts and develop campaign artwork from initial brief through to final production.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing concept development, graphic design and artwork execution across retail, visual merchandising or brand environments.
  • Demonstrated experience producing complex print‑ready artwork across multiple formats, from small POS to large‑format retail graphics.
  • Proven experience managing multiple creative projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Experience creating and maintaining planograms, retail graphics or visual merchandising assets would be highly advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of print production techniques, materials and artwork specifications.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage artwork through multiple approval stages.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing consistently accurate work.
