Senior Allied Health Professional Support Worker
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our dedicated inpatient Trauma & Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based on the main Royal Devon & Exeter hospital site (Wonford).
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing therapeutic interventions, treatments and exercise programmes to orthopaedic and trauma patients.
- Liaising with patients, families and carers in discharge planning and preventing falls.
- Identifying and supporting patients’ physical limitations and functional problems to support the therapy team with early routine assessments and rehabilitation.
- Developing strong links with multidisciplinary teams across acute and community settings.
- Working across all areas of the hospital and being available for shifts 8am–8pm, Monday to Friday, plus weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
- Supporting Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy professionals on a daily basis.
Working pattern: 8am‑8pm, Monday‑Friday, with weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
