The Role

• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils across the school.
• Support students with their emotional well‑being, behaviour, and personal development.
• Work closely with teachers, SEND professionals, and families to provide consistent support.
• Assist with behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and develop confidence, resilience, and independence.
• Support students during lessons, break times, and enrichment activities where required.
• Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all pupils is always prioritised.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an education, SEND, youth work, care, or pastoral setting.
• Calm, patient, and able to build strong professional relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidently manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies.
• Passionate about supporting vulnerable learners to achieve success.
• Relevant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
