Job Description:

HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and ideally some IT skills. You will communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents live in a well‑maintained and inspected environment.
  • Carry out audits and keep records up‑to‑date.
  • Replace taps, mixer valves, fit new extractor fans, repair timber on bedroom windows, and apply wallpaper as required.
  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns following safeguarding procedures.
  • Attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training in associated areas.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Some IT proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and a considerate, kind approach.
  • Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities.

Salary & Location

£13.55 to £13.90 per hourAll Locations: MorristonHome/Department: St Martins CourtJob Family: Home Support Services, Hourly rate is subject to experience and qualifications.
