KS2 Learning Support Assistant (1:1 ASD Support)

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for helping children reach their full potential?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a welcoming and supportive primary school.
This rewarding role will involve providing both academic and pastoral support, helping the pupil to access learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes within the classroom environment.
The Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with ASD
- Supporting the child with classwork and academic progress
- Implementing strategies to encourage engagement and participation
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Promoting the pupil’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning experience
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD
- Experience working within a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practices
- Patient, nurturing, and resilient nature
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Committed to helping children achieve their best
