Team Administrator – Mental Health Services for Older People Community Team

This position supports the Mental Health Services for Older People Community Team in Bishop Auckland. It requires a highly motivated and experienced individual to work 37.5 hours per week. The role involves supporting and maintaining standard systems and processes set out by the Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain standard systems and processes.
  • Diary management, filing systems, meeting coordination, minute taking.
  • Data input, collating and presenting information.
  • Customer service (face‑to‑face, answering calls, correspondence).
  • Organising demands and workloads.
  • Set up and maintain administrative systems and processes.
  • Work autonomously and proactively, supporting and supervising staff when required.
  • Handle monies and work within financial guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Level3 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant field, or willingness to work towards Level3 in Business Administration.
  • Level2 or O Level in literacy and numeracy (GradeC and above / GCSE Maths and English Grade4–9).
  • RSA Level2 or equivalent, or secretarial/administrative experience in a clinical environment.
  • Experience in an administrative environment, including diary management, filing, meeting coordination, minute taking, data input, and presenting information.
  • Experience in customer service, organising workloads, and maintaining administrative systems.
  • Experience working autonomously and proactively, supporting/supervising staff, and handling finances within financial guidelines.

  • Flexible, motivated attitude.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

  • Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and maintaining it.
  • Knowledge of office systems and processes.
