Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Assistant to join our hospital social work team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to social workers. The post will support the Hospital Social Work teams, working within a team of professional staff who are committed to quality service provision and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and take accurate messages and records.
- Signpost patients, families, and professionals to appropriate services.
- Handle general enquiries.
- Send out letters, care plans, and assessments.
- Manage emails, filing, archiving, and a range of general administrative tasks as required by the service.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Level Two NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a busy office environment.
