The Atlantic Hotel is searching for a Maintenance Operative who will play a key role in the daily upkeep of the hotel, from general repairs to preventative maintenance.
This role is full time and temporary (8 weeks)
Job Role
As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of the building, ensuring all areas are safe, functional, and presented to the highest standard. Your role will involve a variety of hands‑on tasks including basic repairs, routine checks, and supporting the team with any maintenance‑related needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine hotel maintenance
- Assist with the implementation of the hotel’s preventive maintenance system and repair log system.
- Minor carpentry such as re‑hanging doors, removing/replacing fittings & fixtures, and furniture repairs.
- Light plumbing of fixing taps, replacing washers, clearing drains.
- Electrical work such as replacing cracked plugs, changing light fittings and/or lightbulbs and replacing faceplates.
- Painting and decorating to a high standard.
- Assisting renovation projects alongside the Head of Maintenance & Group Maintenance Manager.
