Job Summary

The Community Handyperson role provides front‑line maintenance services for Shetland Islands Council, directly supporting a small local island community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first‑line maintenance service throughout the Shetland Islands.

Conditions and Benefits

• Grade G.
• Pay inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.5523 per hour.
• Permanent part‑time post: 22.0 hours per week, 52.18 weeks per year.
• No relocation package applicable.
• Interview expenses paid from within Shetland.
• Must travel throughout Shetland at short notice where public transport is limited.
• Flexible working arrangements available.

Fetlar, Shetland.
