Support Worker – Complex Care

Location: DE1, Derby, Derbyshire. Pay: £15 – £17 per hour, part time. Full‑time 2:1 support package. Front of shift 12‑hour shifts.

Client Overview

Provide specialist in‑home care for an individual with complex clinical needs.

Clinical Needs

• Pompe disease
• Tracheostomy with 24/7 BiPAP ventilation (ventilator dependent)
• Complex secretion management, including use of an Ambu bag
• Gastrostomy (PEG) for nutrition and medication
• Non-mobile; requires two carers for moving and handling
• Diagnosed with osteoporosis following a previous fracture
• Receives enzyme therapy every two weeks, administered by trained nurses

Shifts

Available: Full‑time only. 12‑hour shifts. 2:1 care team.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months UK complex care experience
• Experience with tracheostomy care, BiPAP/ventilation, PEG feeding, suctioning, and emergency response where applicable
• Confidence in manual handling and working effectively as part of a 2:1 care team
• A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to delivering high‑quality care
• Availability to work full‑time hours
